Ruth Tulloch is committed to developing the professionalism of HR and believes that people management plays a key role in ensuring talent is developed for the future.

Ruth has spent her career in the oil and gas sector, joining Aker Solutions in 2002.  Since joining the company, Ruth has led the growth of the Structured Development Programme for graduates and trainees, ensuring that people have the opportunity to join the energy industry and grow their careers within this.

Her commitment to the HR team and how it can make a difference includes supporting people to become Insights^TM practitioners, achieve accreditation from the Association of Coaching and develop as consultants across the global Aker Solutions environment.

In 2010, Aker Solutions reached the finals of Employee Benefits Awards for its approach to sickness absence management.  In addition, Best Companies has accredited the company in both 2009 and 2010, supporting a drive towards active engagement of employees.

An active driver towards enhanced and effective employee benefits, Ruth is a Trustee Director on the Aker Solutions UK pension scheme, providing support to all of the Aker Solutions businesses in the UK.

She is active in both OCA and Oil & Gas UK, chairing the Employment Practices Committee of the former and co-chairing the Skills Forum of the latter.

In 2010, Ruth was awarded the Outstanding HR Director of the Year cHeRries Award for her energy and commitment to HR and the oil and gas industry.
